CHH Honorary Member – Earl James

Common Home of Humanity´ General Council proposed to the Association´ General Assembly the granting of the Honorary Membership to Earl James, which was voted and accepted by unanimity at CHH General Assembly last March 21st, 2026. Earl James played a key role in the international launch of the Common Home of Humanity, and continues to be a role model for all of us.


Earl James is a veteran of over 40 years of non-profit coalition-building and political activism for social change in the areas of global peace and security, environmental protection, and public health. He has directed United Nations reform programming in various staff and board capacities for Citizens for Global Solutions, supporting such initiatives as the establishment of the International Criminal Court, served as an international election supervisor in post-war Bosnia, and built numerous advocacy coalitions as director of programs and development for the New Mexico Environmental Law Center. He founded and is president of Global Voice, an NGO working to bring together diverse voices seeking progressive change in global governance. Global Voice organizes Global Town Halls to discuss strategies to strengthen the role of universal humanistic values in developing global policies.


A writer and activist living in Santa Fe, New Mexico, his novel, Bella Coola: The Rainforest Brought Them Home, probes the spiritual fault lines of our civilization in crisis, exploring the clash between spirit and greed in the British Columbia rainforest as it plays out in the lives of a diverse group of protectors of the planet.
